about

cimone, a Canadian-born artist, delivers a lush, bold, and spiritual sound with a strikingly vulnerable narrative. She attributes her unique sound to the rich cultural upbringing she experienced as a first-generation North American raised in an East Asian home.

After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2019, cimone started working as a songwriter and began writing and producing her debut EP, "after the rain". She released "Heal A Heart" in May 2020, a song co-written with Zaheed Dhamani, dedicated to volunteers, social workers, and healthcare workers assisting with the Covid-19 pandemic. The song debuted on the global the.ismaili and ismailitv platforms, reaching over 24K views. cimone's smooth sound also led her to perform for Yvette Noel-Shure, former publicist for Prince, John Legend, and Beyoncé, in Valencia, Spain for the Women In Music Spring Mixer.

cimone will be releasing her debut EP, "after the rain", this coming summer, with its first single, "pink clouding", on February 26th, 2021. Infusing traditional Pakistani-Sufi sounds with modern R&B production, it provides a perfect canvas for the introspective lyrics reflecting cimone’s struggles with self-identity.

cimone released "Thank You," in December 2018, and made it to nationals with her song in the Jubilee Arts Festival, getting to perform at the Four Seasons Performance Centre in Toronto, ON, as well as in Lisbon, Portugal for the festival pop-up performances. Her smooth sound led her to perform for Yvette Noel-Shure, former publicist for Prince, John Legend, and Beyoncé, in Valencia, Spain for the Women In Music Spring Mixer. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2019, cimone released "Heal A Heart", a song co-written with Zaheed Dhamani, dedicated to volunteers, social workers, and healthcare workers assisting with the Covid-19 pandemic. She also participated in the global Eid "Shukrana Concert", performing a variety of Sufi songs and an original.
